Wag It Camp Rules

DOG MANAGEMENT AND CARE

  • Dogs will remain on leash at all times unless
    • Necessary for a workshop activity
    • In any designated “Free Play” areas and times
  • Retractable leads are not allowed on grounds.
  • This is a positive training event. Harsh corrections are not allowed. (A harsh correction is defined as one that generates a significant negative response from a dog or offends the sensibilities of camp staff). Electric, shock and prong collars are not allowed on grounds.
  • Dogs left in cabins without supervision must be confined to an appropriate dog crate. (Not uncovered exercise pens)
  • Dogs that are left in their cabin must remain so quietly. Barking for more than three minutes consecutively or frequent outbursts will be considered excessive and may result in being asked to remove the dog from the camp grounds. 
  • Dogs will not be tethered or tied without supervision.
  • Always clean up after your dog.
  • DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE DINING HALL, AT YAPPY HOUR OR AT SILLY HUMAN GAMES

OTHER RULES

  • Wag It Camp is a smoke free event.  Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the grounds.
  • Alcohol is allowed on the premises. Alcohol must be used responsibly and intoxication is not acceptable. Abuse of this privilege will result in excusal from the grounds for the remainder of camp (without refund)
  • Campers may not enter the kitchen area.
  • The beach is available for you and your dog to enjoy. No lifeguard is provided. Swim at your own risk. No swimming after dark. 
  • The dirt road that goes beside the horse area is off limits. Please do not walk down this road.
  • Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the grounds.
  • No space heaters are allowed in cabins. 
  • If you need to leave the grounds please notify a staff member. Local hospital and veterinarian information is located at the first aid station in the dining hall.

Wag It reserves the right to ask any participant to leave the grounds because of dangerous, disruptive or unmanageable behavior. (Without refund)
