Sumac with inspiration from her Border Collie Phoebe founded both Wag It Games and Wag It Camp. She has been training dogs for 40 years and teaching professionally for 25. She has been named Maine Dog trainer of the year, appeared on Disney’s “That’s My Dog” and “Fetch” on PBS. She has presented at the Association of Professional Dog Trainers national conferences and Suzanne Clothiers Trainers Workshop. Sumac offers seminars and online training internationally. TRACY SNOW-CORMIER
Portage, ME
Tracy Snow-Cormier has a passion for learning and a gift for sharing her knowledge in a manner that is easy to understand and put into action. She began dabbling in canine conditioning in 2006. Her dogs Maggie & Haley inspired a deeper dedication to after Maggie lost leg to cancer and Haley suffered a shoulder injury. Tracy has consulted and trained under Debbie Torraca and Bobbie Lyons as well as attended seminars with Pat Hasting. Tracy has competed in agility and Rally Obedience.
DOTTY DUDLEY
Presque Isle, ME
Dotty’s smile and laughter are legendary and shines through in her teaching philosophy that having fun is a vital part of learning. Her 35 years of experience teaching people combined with her years of experience in dog training, dog sports and horses make for a well rounded and creative instructor. Dotty is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, Master Wag It Games instructor/judge and the Wag It Games Video Trial Manager. She has participated in a variety of dog sports and activities including Rally Obedience, agility, hiking and skijoring.
JEREMY SHAW
Buxton, ME
Jeremy has been working with dogs since 1999 when his family adopted a toy poodle. Through volunteering for shelters and working at several animal hospitals in Southern Maine his compassion for dog care and training expanded. Jeremy has a passion for animal behavior and has been instructing in various settings for about 15 years. He is a licensed Wag It Games Instructor, CGC evaluator, TDAA judge and CPE Speedway Course Marshall. He actively competes in various venues with his three dogs, Piper, Apollo, and Remy.
CINDY SANBORN
Presque Isle, ME
Cindy has worked at the Presque Isle Animal Hospital for 32 years. She has a great interest in animal behavior and enjoys educating clients about animal health and behavior. Cindy is especially interested in the comfort of the dogs during their veterinary visits. She supervises a program that trains the hospital staff in low stress handling techniques. Cindy is a Wag It Games enthusiast and has enjoyed many seminars and training gatherings focused on Wag It Games. Cindy has attended Wag It Camp for many years and became an assistant instructor in recent years. Cindy enjoys training, hiking and snowshoeing with her 3 Labrador Retrievers.
TAMMY WARREN
Monson, MA
Tammy is a graduate of the Pack of Paws Professional Dog Trainers Program and is a CGC Teacher and Evaluator. She has been an Evaluator for the Pet Partners Therapy Animal program for approx. 25 years. As an Occupational Therapist Tammy and her dogs have worked with Animal Assisted Therapy in many settings. Tammy enjoys assisting teams to enhance their skills, confidence and relationship. Tammy enjoys many activities with her dogs including Wag it games, running, hiking, yoga (yes with her dogs) and volunteering at many local events and committees with and without her dogs.
NANCY HOFFMAN (Agility)
Chester, NH
Nancy began her love of animals with her first cat, Honey when she was just four years old. As a middle schooler she began training her first dog using the book, The Lassie Method she checked out of the library. Nancy has spent her adult years teaching elementary aged students to use the computer as well as teaching Adult Ed. Nancy began training her first agility dog Stewie in 2003 and agility became a passion. Nancy also competes in Rally, enjoys trick training, and has a love of canine conditioning. She and Skipper love to train, hike, swim and play with her grandchildren.
Linsy Saucier (Assistant Instructor)
Washburn, Maine
Linsy’s passion for working with animals began at the age of 3, when she got her first Sheltie. She has been working in an animal hospital setting since 2010, and has been participating in Wag-It Games for the past several years. Linsy was first introduced to positive training when she got her best boy Tosh in 2011, and her special interests include animal behavior and canine conditioning. While she always enjoys a fun training session or hike with her dog, Linsy also enjoys enjoying activities outdoors with her human friends including hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing.
